Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Engineering Co-Op to support the Engineering Department on projects involving components for nuclear power plants and the U.S. Navy.

You will assist in design analyses, equipment qualification procedures, and testing of pressure relief devices, while gaining valuable hands-on experience. You should be pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, able to commit to 40 hours weekly July–December in Mansfield, MA, and authorized to work in the U.S.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Assist in preparation of design analysis of components for nuclear power plants and the U.S. Navy
• Assist in preparation of equipment qualification test procedures
• Assist in the design of equipment qualification testing
• Support the assembly and testing of a variety of pressure relief devices

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in an Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to work 40-hours a week from July to December at Mansfeld, MA
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Oral and written communications, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• Previous experience working with valves.
• CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.)
