Job summary

DBM Global, Inc is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Capital Projects at its Phoenix, AZ location. You will lead design, budgeting, and execution of capital projects involving mechanical systems in steel fabrication plants, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment.
• Shop floor and/or job site experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, construction engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, budgeting, and implementation of capital projects involving mechanical systems in steel fabrication plants.
• Identify and specify mechanical equipment and systems required for fabrication and erection processes.
• Analyze current operations and recommend changes to improve productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of mechanical components.
• Ensure all mechanical designs and installations comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with fabrication, erection, quality, and safety teams to align project goals and execution.
• Monitor project costs and schedules to ensure alignment with capital expenditure plans.

Position Overview

Work Environment

• This position requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
