Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automotive applications, utilizing CAD software for modeling and drafting. Perform engineering analysis, including stress analysis and tolerance stack-up, to ensure component reliability and performance. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for mass production (DFM). Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation. Support prototype build and testing activities, analyzing results and implementing design improvements. Work with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance and R&D, to meet project objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive industry . Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and basic engineering analysis tools. Understanding of automotive component functionality, materials, and manufacturing processes. Good communication and problem-solving skills, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
