Job summary

LaMotte Company seeks a Mechanical Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, drive efficiency, and support production operations. You will work hands-on with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership to push continuous improvement and ensure product quality.

Occasional travel to suppliers and to Newark, DE may be required. Responsibilities include upgrading PLCs and automation, planning capital projects, and training operators and maintenance staff in robotics, vision systems, and

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical/mechanical/electrical/industrial preferred).
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience with automated equipment, PLC, and leadership.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes and equipment reliability; lead cross-functional teams.
• Upgrade PLCs, controls, and automation to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop strategic equipment planning and lead TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead safety, testing, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
