Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Chicago, IL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. Hybrid work arrangement with a pay rate of $90k-$120k annually. Responsibilities include designing machine components, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and producing ASME drawings for fabrication.

The position requires 5+ years of mechanical design experience, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, and strong Creo/Pro-E skills. Occasional visits to customer sites and vendors may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in OEM or capital equipment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Creo/Pro-E and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design machine components and tooling with proper fit and tolerance.
• Coordinate with Applications, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams.
• Create ASME-style drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Support Manufacturing during build and document changes.
• Present designs during design reviews.
• Review and check colleagues' drawings prior to release.
