Job summary

U.S. Fusion Energy is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design and analysis of reactor vessels and internals for the Zap Micro Reactor program.

You will drive safety bases and collaborate across engineering disciplines to align design intent with manufacturing and safety requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace/Nuclear Engineering with extensive experience in complex reactor systems, ASME BPVC expertise, and proficiency in ANSYS.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in complex systems like nuclear reactors.
• Expertise in ASME Codes & Standards and ANSYS is essential, with a PE license preferred.
