Job summary

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Strength of Materials/Mechanics of Materials.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to interpret test data.
  • Excellent organizational skills; collaborative team player.
  • US work authorization; sponsorship not provided.

This role offers a unique combination of hands-on laboratory work, engineering analysis, design, testing, and problem-solving.You will work alongside a highly experienced team of engineers and technicians, gaining exposure to a wide variety of mechanical engineering disciplines including structural analysis, testing, instrumentation, machine design, durability, vibration, fatigue, and data analysis.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys understanding how things work, solving technical problems, and applying engineering fundamentals to real-world products.**AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER - APPLIED MECHANICS LAB, YOU WILL:*** Support engineering projects related to product development, supplier qualification, and customer failure analysis.* Plan and execute laboratory testing on mechanical components and systems.* Design and develop test fixtures and experimental setups.* Analyze engineering test data and provide technical conclusions and recommendations.* Apply mechanical engineering principles to investigate product performance and durability issues.* Collaborate with engineers, lab technicians, and internal customers to define project objectives and testing requirements.* Prepare technical reports and present findings to engineering stakeholders.* Support continuous improvement of testing methods, procedures, and laboratory capabilities.* Develop expertise in durability, vibration, fatigue, materials behavior, and mechanical system performance.**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.* 0-2 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience.* Strong CAD experience using NX, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar 3D modeling software.* Working knowledge of Strength of Materials / Mechanics of Materials principles.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to interpret engineering test results and technical data.* Excellent organizational skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.* Legal authorization to work in the United States.
