Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, CO, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead design, installation, and optimization of facility and production equipment. You will manage budgets, drive projects from concept to cost justification, and support maintenance, regulatory compliance, and training across the plant.

The role requires 3–5 years manufacturing experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, and strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience
• Project management experience preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work extra hours as needed
• Familiarity with aluminum rolling mill operations

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, layout, and install facility and manufacturing equipment
• Manage costs against budget
• Lead project management from concept to cost justification
• Coordinate maintenance improvements and process enhancements
• Provide engineering support for plant modifications and regulatory compliance
• Communicate project costs and recommendations to management
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
