Barry-Wehmiller Converting is growing, and we currently have Mechanical Engineer positions available at all levels. These are primarily onsite roles at our Green Bay facility, and onsite and hybrid opportunities are also available in Waukesha and Madison. Consideration for a specific level and team will be determined through the interview process based. Candidates will likely meet with multiple team leaders in a streamlined process to determine best fit. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates outside of a commutable distance to one of our facilities. The Mechanical Engineer (Levels I-IV) performs engineering duties related to the design, development, and modification of machines, systems, and components in support of the business segment. This role applies sound engineering principles with consideration for manufacturing feasibility, cost, safety, and operational performance with supervision appropriate to the level of experience. Responsibilities include designing, analyzing, testing, installing, and supporting mechanically functioning equipment.
Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related technical field required. Minimum of 0-2 years of related experience for Mechanical Engineer I position up to a minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing in an Engineering role required for Mechanical Engineer IV. Proficient to advanced proficiency with high-level functionality in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/PDM and/or Autodesk Inventor/Vault) OEM experience in machine component design is preferred. Experience in hygiene, personal care, or roll converting industries is a plus.
