Job summary

Zenos in San Mateo is seeking top engineers to define and build our first product. You will design adaptable mounting systems and robust hardware that keeps sensors and control electronics within spec, while laying the groundwork for scalable manufacturing and supplier partnerships.

You will collaborate with software, electrical, and robotics experts to specify integrations and drive the product from concept to production readiness in a fast-paced, stealth-mode startup with generous equity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in R&D environments and a university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3D modelling with CAD, electronics enclosures, environmental sealing.
• Structural & dynamics analysis: FEA, vibration/shock, fatigue analysis.
• Thermal management: CFD.
• EMC/ EMI/ EFI compliance.
• Manufacturing experience: DFMA and vendor qualification.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in defining the company’s product.
• Design mounting systems that are flexible across targets.
• Build robust solutions with longevity and keep sensors and computers within spec.
• Help define a manufacturing strategy and identify hires/partners to scale.
• Collaborate with in-house experts in software, electrical and robotic systems to define integrations and specifications.
