Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Lafayette, Indiana, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support extrusion manufacturing by improving equipment reliability, leading capital projects, and advancing safety and sustainability in a high-performance aerospace setting.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure achievement of business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics and familiarity with controls.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve extrusion production equipment and processes.
• Lead upgrades, rebuilds, installations, and facility expansion projects.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance strategies.
• Manage CAPEX budgets, schedules, and project execution.
• Coordinate work with maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Drive safety, quality, reliability, and environmental performance improvements.
• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to meet objectives.
