Job summary
PACCAR Inc is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of an ADAS Level 4 Autonomous Vehicle Platform for an autonomous-enabled truck. You will drive concept development, design validation, and production launch, coordinating with Embedded software, PACCAR Innovation Center, and PACCAR Technical Center, as well as cross-functional teams.
Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and CREO/Windchill proficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CREO/CREO View/Windchill or equivalent CAD tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of ADAS Level 4 Autonomous Vehicle Platform (AVP) systems from definition to launch.
- Develop mechanical concepts to meet platform requirements and verify with analytics.
- Use DFMEA and DVP tools to mitigate design risks across concept, design and validation.
- Create and maintain project schedules and mitigation plans to meet milestones.
- Manage relationships with autonomous partner and suppliers for smooth information flow.
