Actalent is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team supporting nuclear power projects. This 100% remote opportunity lets you tackle complex mechanical design challenges, deliver high-quality engineering solutions, and build strong client relationships with nuclear utilities and project partners.

You will work from anywhere in the United States, contributing to concept through implementation, performing calculations, and preparing clear technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• 515 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in nuclear power industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design engineering for nuclear power plant projects
• Develop practical solutions to complex mechanical and electromechanical engineering challenges
• Perform and review engineering calculations, designs, specifications, and technical deliverables
• Evaluate systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical design processes and construction methods
• Support Engineering Change Control processes for nuclear power generation utilities
• Apply applicable nuclear codes, standards, regulations, and Nuclear Quality Assurance requirements
• Partner with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to define priorities and solve technical challenges
• Support projects from initial concept and analysis through design and implementation
• Prepare clear technical reports, documentation, and presentations
• Manage multiple engineering priorities while building strong relationships with clients and project partners
