Job Description

Coffman Engineers’ Honolulu office is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated team player who has worked on impactful and complex projects primarily in healthcare, laboratory, commercial, civic, government, higher education, and federal industries. The role involves technical design and consulting, construction support, new project scoping and proposal writing, and a proactive role in marketing. The successful individual will help build, manage, and mentor a strong team of engineering professionals within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary office.

Responsibilities

• Technical design and consulting on complex projects.
• Construction support and project scoping.
• Proposal writing and marketing support with the business development team.
• Leadership and mentorship of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years in consulting engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC engineering.
• Active local industry involvement preferred.
• Passion for great client experiences and design.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Expected annual salary of $90,000 – $110,000.
