Collins Aerospace’s Interiors team in Winston-Salem invites a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to main cabin seating development. You will create parts, layouts, and sketches, and validate designs through testing while weighing weight, manufacturability, and serviceability considerations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing learning, and collaboration with Project Engineers to deliver Main Cabin products. A STEM degree and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM obtained prior to start.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

This team is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Winston‑Salem Seating Group. Conducts product development activities and studies, analyzes tests, and produces sketches, parts, and designs, following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design, safety, and qualification standards.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
