Marconi Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong distribution and material handling background. You will design and quote conveyor systems, size components, and lead onsite integration to ensure peak performance.
You will collaborate with controls engineers on motors and sensors, work with vendors on product selection, and support installation with inventory and scheduling. A Bachelor's in engineering is required; MBA or Master's is a plus.
Competenze
- 5+ years in automated material handling.
- Strong knowledge of distribution conveyor systems.
- Familiar with TGW/MHT or similar conveyor suppliers.
- Bachelor's in engineering; MBA or Master's a plus.
- Strong AutoCAD skills; other material handling design tools a bonus.
- Good knowledge of control systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.

My client, a material handling systems integrator, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong distribution background. You'll work across the whole project: concept and detailed design, project management, onsite integration, customer support and sales consulting.
- Use your conveyor know-how to develop concept systems and support quotes
- Produce detailed conveyor layouts, including motor/gearbox sizing, cycle times and throughput
- Lead onsite integration and troubleshooting to get systems running at peak rate
- Work with Controls Engineers on motors, sensors and system operation
- Work with vendors on product selection, quality and on-time delivery
- Support the site installation supervisor with inventory, schedule tracking and subcontractors
- Resolve support issues quickly and keep customers happy
