Job summary

Intelliswift - An LTTS Company is seeking a mechanical engineer with 4+ years of experience to support test equipment design and production. The role requires commuting to North Reading, MA and Westborough, MA, five days a week, with strong PLM and SolidWorks PDM experience to drive rapid prototyping and documentation.

You will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain and quality to define design considerations and perform engineering analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
• Experience with rapid prototyping methods.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain and quality to determine key design considerations for test equipment design, fabrication and implementation.
• Exhibit thorough engineering analysis and documentation.
• Design mechanical subsystems with industrial automation components such as motors, actuators and sensors.
• Develop specifications, prototyping, testing, validation and production handoffs.
• Validate concepts through modeling, hand calculations and prototypes.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis using FEA (Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation).
• Create design documentation including requirements, drawings, validation plans and maintenance.

Job description

4+ years of working as a mechanical engineer.

Experience with rapid prototyping methods.

Ability to commute to both North Reading, MA and Westborough, MA, 5 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

Have working knowledge of electromechanical system and control systems to be able to discuss and dissect issues from electrical/control/test engineers who may not be able to pinpoint mechanical issues.

Experience with Oracle Agile PLM system.

Performing static and dynamic analysis on mechanical systems using both FEA (Ansys or Solidworks Simulation) and hand calculations.

Design mechanical sub systems with industrial automation systems such as motors, actuators, sensors, safety systems, etc.

Creating design documentation, including requirements, engineering design process, functional specifications, drawings, design validation plans/reports, future iterations, compliance, and preventative maintenance.
