Location: Waynesboro, PA 6 month contract to hire

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering, product development, and manufacturing initiatives. This role will design, analyze, document, and support the manufacture of mechanical systems and components while working closely with engineering leadership, production teams, and customers to develop practical solutions that meet performance, quality, and manufacturing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (BSME, BSMET, BSEMET, or related engineering discipline).
• 0-5 years of mechanical engineering experience, including recent graduates.
• General knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, design practices, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software.
• Exposure to finite element analysis (FEA) tools and engineering calculations.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude, including assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, or equipment maintenance.
• Experience designing machinery, industrial equipment, or custom-engineered products.
