Job summary

Lancesoft in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 12-month assignment. The role requires CREO experience and involves design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, with emphasis on high-performance pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities include CAD design, analysis, design reviews, and hands-on support from development through production, with a pay rate of $55-$60 per hour on W2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree with at least 4 years; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience.
• Degree to be in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Proficient CAD design skills, including part and assembly-level modeling in Creo
• Proficient CAD drafting skills with the ability to interpret and create 2D drawings
• Working knowledge of structural analysis methods using hand calculations
• Experience managing small to medium projects or processes inside and outside of immediate job area.

• Provide creative and innovative design solutions that meet product requirements for high performance, high pressure pneumatic mechanisms/systems.
• Work closely with a broad team from engineering and operations to collaborate on effective solutions to design challenges.
• Support conceptual and detail design processes by using your background in CAD design
• Provide support to structural and thermal analysis tasks including first order hand calculations and FEA.
• Present data in design review settings (e.g. PDR, CDR), both internal and external
• Provide strong contributions to the overall product design dialogue from inception through production.
• Provide hands-on support during development, prototyping, integration and test activities.

Job Description:

Responsible for the design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components or systems. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. Analyzes mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Investigates solutions to product or process problems. Consolidates results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects. Performs product development activities including drawing board layout and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.

• Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
• Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
• Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
