Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide design, technical review, and construction support for mechanical systems on USACE projects. The position is on-site with location to be determined and requires collaboration across disciplines to ensure project success.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/plumbing piping experience, and USACE or federal facility background is preferred. PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC load calculations and equipment selection.
• Design and review HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.

• Support commissioning and functional testing.
• Perform site inspections and construction-phase reviews.

Our core services include on-site inspection of roadway, bridge, and utility construction to ensure adherence to engineering specifications, safety standards, and contract requirements. We support clients with daily reporting, materials testing coordination, schedule tracking, and quality assurance oversight. Additional services include project management, grants management for federally funded infrastructure and disaster recovery programs.

About the Role:

The Mechanical Engineer will provide design, technical review, and construction support for mechanical systems on USACE projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical building systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• USACE experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Federal or institutional facility experience preferred.
