This position supports daily plant operations, engineering tasks, and small-scale projects within an industrial manufacturing environment. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role assists with equipment design, facility improvements, process optimization, and troubleshooting activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and updating engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Support the design, installation, and modification of equipment, piping, structures, and production systems.
- Participate in troubleshooting mechanical, structural, and process issues to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Conduct field measurements, site assessments, and data collection to support engineering analyses and project planning.
- Assist with project coordination, including vendor communication, procurement tasks, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements during all engineering and project activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving throughput, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations under supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands‑on or internship experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, structural design principles, or industrial equipment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment and learn from field experience.
