Job summary

Nenni and Associates in Southern California seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design of mechanical and plumbing systems for energy-efficient buildings. You will mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to ICC, NFPA, FM Global, and Federal standards while guiding project proposals and specifications.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical consulting, degrees in mechanical engineering, and PE/EIT licensure, with strong AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical consulting engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed PE or EIT.
• AutoCAD & REVIT experience.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for energy-efficient buildings.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate project tasks.
• Ensure compliance with ICC, NFPA, FM Global and Federal standards.
• Review client specs, cost estimates, and maintenance needs.
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings; attend meetings with architects, clients, and owners.

Our client is a very well-established ESCO who is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team within the Southern California market!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and mentor junior engineers to design the mechanical and plumbing components of energy-efficient buildings.
• Knowledge of building life safety, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire, codes including ICC Standards, NFPA, FM Global, and Federal Standards
• Research new client design proposal specifications, manuals, cost, and maintenance requirements
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings
• Assist meetings with architects, clients, and building owners

Requirements:

• 5+ years of mechanical consulting engineering experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed PE or EIT
• AutoCAD & REVIT experience
