Job summary

Responsibilities

• To produce mechanical engineering design packages, providing input and support at all stages of a project from sales through to installation.
• Translate and develop conceptual designs into designs to meet functional and contractual specifications; draw out specs, calculations and component selection.
• Support and assist in the sales stage by providing conceptual design and tender documents on time and to quality standards.
• Liaise with Electrical Design Engineer and CAD draughtsman to ensure designs meet requirements and schedules.
• Coordinate with Architect & Structural designer on detailed design development.
• Provide project documentation during installation, commissioning and testing phases.
• Conduct site surveys as required and liaise with customers and representatives.
• Participate in, and where appropriate lead, HAZOP and risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.
