Job summary

Links Technology Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to support research, design, and test of advanced mechanical structures for aerospace platforms in Plano, TX. You will work across the full product lifecycle, delivering robust mechanical designs and ensuring compatibility with subsystem requirements.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, apply CAE tools, and contribute to GD&T and MBOM processes to drive quality and manufacturability in a dynamic defense/aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and hands-on CAE tools.
• Preferred experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Familiarity with FEA/CFD and Thermal Analysis.

• Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services ranging from payloads to integrated aircraft and space systems.
• Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems across the full product lifecycle.

Title: MECHANICAL ENGINEER III
Location: Plano, Texas
Pay Rate: $59.00 per hour
Contract Duration: 12 months

You will conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures throughout the entire product lifecycle in a dynamic engineering environment.

Description – Mechanical Engineer III

• Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services ranging from payloads to integrated aircraft and space systems.
• Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems across the full product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Perform physical movements including walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs/steps as required by daily tasks.

Qualifications – Mechanical Engineer III

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and hands-on experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
• Preferred experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
• Familiarity with Engineering Simulation tools including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis.
• Strong background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, parametric design, model-based definition, material/hardware selection, and manufacturing/production processes.
