Responsibilities

  • Support and improve mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing processes used in armor production.
  • Assist in designing, modifying, and implementing manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues alongside technicians, supervisors, and operators.
  • Support equipment uptime by assisting with maintenance coordination, repairs, and process documentation.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design and process decisions.
  • Create, review, and update technical drawings, layouts, and specifications using CAD software.
  • Generate working prototypes for ballistic testing, human factors evaluation, and customer demonstrations.
  • Assist with evaluation of materials, mechanical systems, and components used in armor manufacturing.
  • Develop and execute testing procedures for validating new designs, processes, and equipment.
  • Support ballistic testing and data collection efforts.
  • Document test results and assist in analyzing performance trends.
  • Support engineering projects by assisting with task tracking, timelines, documentation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, R&D, and operations.
  • Work with vendors and contractors as needed to support equipment, tooling, or process improvements.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and summaries by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Respond to technical questions from manufacturing, quality, and leadership.
  • Follow established safety procedures and contribute to a safe shop environment.

Job Description:

Supports the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and products related to armor production. This role is hands-on and production-facing, working directly in a manufacturing and shop environment to support equipment, processes, testing, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, safety-minded, and comfortable contributing wherever needed to support production, testing, and product development.
