Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop custom industrial equipment and assemblies from concept through fabrication. You will collaborate with manufacturing teams to create detailed designs, 3D models, drawings, and Bills of Materials.

The role emphasizes DFMEA, CAD drafting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance across production, quality, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience performing DFMEA.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and documentation.

• Design custom mechanical components, fabricated parts, and system assemblies using CAD software.
• Develop 3D models, assembly layouts, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Generate 2D schematics, technical drawings, and supporting documentation.
• Utilize CAM software to support CNC manufacturing operations.
• Verify dimensions and specifications of purchased and manufactured components.
• Perform engineering analysis and design validation activities.
• Support quality inspections of fabricated components and finished assemblies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and project teams to ensure successful execution.
• Participate in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Design custom mechanical components, fabricated parts, and system assemblies using CAD software.
• Develop 3D models, assembly layouts, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Requirements

• Strong experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and mechanical design.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
