AtkinsRéalis in Orlando, FL seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join the Building and Places team. You will assist senior engineers with mechanical design, analysis, and documentation, develop CAD drawings and 3D models, and perform basic calculations while contributing to safety and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience preferred; internships accepted.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and basic engineering calculations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of safety standards and industry codes.

Overview

AtkinsRéalisis seeking aMechanical Engineerto join ourBuilding and PlacesTeam.This is anentry-levelposition and is based out ofOrlando, FL.

Your Role

• Assistedsenior engineers with mechanical design, analysis, and technical documentation.
• Developed and updated CAD drawings and 3D models.
• Performed basic engineering calculations and design evaluations.
• Support equipmentselections, troubleshooting, and performance assessments.
• Collaborated withinterdisciplinaryteams to complete engineering projects.
• Prepared technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ensured compliance with safety standards, industry codes, and company procedures.
• Contributed to process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Participated inmulti-disciplinary coordination meetings
• Maintained project records and provided engineering support throughout project lifecycles.

About You

• EXPERIENCE:
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Internships, co-op assignments, academic projects, or laboratory experience may be accepted in lieu of professional experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, and machine design.
• EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
• Experience using CAD software such as Revit or AutoCAD.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to perform fundamental engineering calculations and analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Understanding of industry standards, safety requirements, and quality processes.
• Experience with engineering documentation and technical report preparation preferred.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE) certification preferred but not typically required.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between$80,000-$85,000annuallydepending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
