Job summary

Collabera is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 12-month engagement to resolve product reliability issues and support test programs for components, sub-systems, and systems. You will design, prototype, and test potential solutions; develop test plans; analyze data, and communicate design changes with 3D models, drawings, BOM updates, and reports.

The role emphasizes maintaining project records and driving timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degreed mechanical engineer required.
• Experience with industrial equipment advantageous.
• Familiarity with CAP/6 Sigma/DMAIC methods encouraged.

Job Description

Duration: 12 month (Could go beyond)

• Resolve product reliability issues
• Manage test series
  • Develop test plans (for components, sub-systems, and systems) for reliability, durability, performance, and safety.
  • Design, plan, and execute investigative and verification tests.
  • Analyze, condense, and present test data/results.
  • Conduct technical designs reviews and can execute engineering change orders.
  • Communicate design changes with 3D models, engineering drawings, specification changes, and BOM changes.
• Manage projects
  • Maintain orderly project records. Know, document, and communicate project status as required both verbally and in written form.
  • Plan and co-coordinate timely integration of corrective actions and Drive project execution.

Desired Candidate Characteristics

• Familiar with formal problem resolution techniques / practices (e.g. CAP / 6 sigma / DMAIC, etc).
• Has track record of solving product failure issues on mechanical and electromechanical components, sub-systems, and systems.
