Job summary

TechStar Group in Milpitas, CA is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to coordinate onsite-offshore activities, manage large assemblies and system layouts using reference geometry. You will develop conceptual and detailed designs with ProE/Creo, perform 3D CAD modeling, and apply materials and fabrication techniques for vacuum systems within a multi-disciplined global team.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex, multi-site engineering efforts.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, especially ProE/Creo.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining and welding.
• Understanding of materials and fabrication for vacuum systems.
• Ability to work in a multi-discipline, global team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onsite-offshore engineering activities and supplier interfaces.
• Manage large assemblies and system layout using reference geometry.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs with ProE/Creo.
• Create 3D CAD models and validate against requirements.
• Assess materials and fabrication methods for vacuum systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines in a global organization.
• Adapt project focus as priorities shift; communicate changes clearly.
• Support documentation and technical writing as needed.
• Leverage SEMI standards where applicable; maintain quality discipline.

Job description

• Very Good experience in onsite-offshore coordination
• Managing large assemblies and system layout using reference geometry
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal forming & operations
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs using 3D modeling software packages (ProE/Creo, etc.)
• Proficient in 3D solid modeling using CAD, preferably ProE/Creo
• Understanding of materials and fabrication techniques for vacuum systems
• Be able to work in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organization.
• Be flexible and adaptive to adjust project focus based on priority changes.
• Excellent writing skills and verbal communication
• Good knowledge of Engineering Materials in the design environment.
• Experience in reverse engineering can be an added advantage.
• SEMI (S2, S8) standards/Semiconductor domain experience added advantage.

• Microsoft Tools: Knowledge in Visio, Publisher, and other MS Office tools.
