Acts as staff specialist in providing technical guidance for complex or unique assignments. The incumbent must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of design engineering principles and practices and independently making decisions on significant design engineering problems or methods.

Requirements

Requires a 4-year engineering degree and typically 8-11 years’ related experience. Professional registration is required at this level. Incumbent must be cognizant of the capabilities and limitations of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment to effectively direct their use for diverse engineering assignments.

Travel Required

Yes, up to 25% travel may be necessary.
