TAD PGS, Inc. seeks a Mechanical/Aerospace engineer to design instrumentation for AMMM and Advanced Development Programs and to draft C-130 mechanical drawings using CATIA V5. You will develop, document, and support data acquisition systems for aircraft flight testing.
Responsibilities include coordinating with Electrical Systems engineers and working with union technicians to fabricate and install instrumentation; DoD security clearance at a Secret level or higher is preferred.
Instrumentation mechanical design and support for AMMM and Advanced Development Programs.
Drafting mechanical drawings for C-130 aircraft.
Design, develop, document, and support the installation and operation of data acquisition systems for aircraft flight testing.
Mechanical and hardware design and system integration.
Designs for instrumentation will include, but are not limited to, strain gages, thermocouples, pressure transducers, accelerometers, displacement transducers, synchros, microphones, calibration methods, and aircraft test instrumentation racks.
C oordinate with the Electrical instrumentation and Systems engineers on solutions to data acquisition products .
Will work with union-represented technicians and mechanics to fabricate and install instrumentation designs.
Implement designs with CATIA V5 and CCD (CADAM Computer Drafting).
Bachelor of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in part design, assembly design, and drawing in CATIA V5.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with CADAM Computer Drafting (CCD) or other 2D drafting software.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with test instrumentation (strain gages, pressure transducers, accelerometers, thermocouples, etc.).
Minimum of 2 years with C-130 or other aircraft structural design.
Experience working in a machine shop with fabrication mechanics.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with CAD Datanet.
DoD Security clearance at a Secret level or higher.
