Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own complex capital projects and pressure systems at our 500-person specialty chemical facility. This hands-on role sits in Batesville, AR, working closely with electrical, process controls, maintenance, and operations teams to improve mechanical integrity and system capacity on live assets.

You will drive projects from concept through implementation on the plant floor, ensuring safe, reliable operation while aligning with safety, quality, and cost

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or closely related engineering degree with equivalent industrial coursework.
• Experience performing complex mechanical engineering work in manufacturing, process, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on, field-oriented problem solving preferred over pure CAD drafting.
• Ability to work across disciplines, communicate progress to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback from maintenance and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical assistance, process improvements, and capital project implementation across manufacturing, utilities, and maintenance operations.
• Manage pressure-vessel program, including relief devices, conservation vents, and rupture disks.
• Size, specify, and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, centrifuges, and complex piping systems.
• Collaborate daily on the plant floor to identify root causes of mechanical problems and implement safe, reliable solutions.
• Apply process economics to evaluate project value and ensure design criteria meet safety and quality standards.

Position Summary

We are looking for a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our Project Engineering Group in Batesville, Arkansas.

This is not a desk-bound design role. We are a specialty chemical manufacturer with a 50-year legacy and over 500 employees, and we need an engineer who thrives in the field. You will partner closely with our electrical engineers, process controls team, maintenance staff, and operations to improve the mechanical integrity and capacity of our live manufacturing and utility systems. Key Responsibilities
