Dart Container, a family-owned manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead projects across maintenance and production, focusing on safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.

You will troubleshoot equipment, analyze production data, and develop SOPs while collaborating across departments to implement improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing equipment, processes, and materials.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality tools (SPC, 5S, FMEA, 8D, RCA, DOE).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes using proven problem-solving methods.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve throughput, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Work hands-on with Maintenance and Production to diagnose equipment issues and implement solutions.
• Design and run experiments, analyze results, and implement engineering improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement projects that reduce scrap, rejects, downtime, and costs.
• Develop SOPs, documentation, and training for new and improved processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, Maintenance, Production, and other departments to bring projects to life.

You’ll lead engineering projects focused on developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment, while working closely with Maintenance, Production, and other engineering teams to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing equipment, processes, and materials.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality tools such as SPC, 5S, FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and DOE.
• Experience with thermoforming, injection molding, printing, paper equipment, or similar manufacturing processes is a plus.
