Job summary

VALICY in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team and drive design, prototyping, testing, and production ramp of gaming hardware from concept through production.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, work with suppliers and cross-functional teams, troubleshoot, and implement design improvements with emphasis on cost, manufacturability, and reliability. Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years hands-on mechanical/product development experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
• Support mechanical development from concept and prototypes through EV, DV, PV, production, and sustaining engineering.
• Design and develop gaming cabinets, enclosures, brackets, mechanics, displays, button decks, toppers, and other electromechanical assemblies.
• Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in prototype builds, hands-on assembly, fit checks, testing, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
• Perform root-cause analysis of mechanical failures and drive corrective actions.
• Support material, finish, hardware, fastener, and component selection with consideration for cost, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Work directly with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and tooling partners to develop production-ready designs.
• Support tooling development, DFM/DFA reviews, pilot builds, production ramp-up, and manufacturing issue resolution.
• Collaborate with electrical and industrial design teams to integrate displays, lighting, electronics, wiring, cooling, and other hardware.
• Support UL, environmental, reliability, vibration, thermal, and other applicable testing and certification activities.
• Travel periodically to suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and testing laboratories as needed.

SUMMARY

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our growing hardware engineering team and help develop Class II and Class III gaming products from concept through production. This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys designing, building, testing, troubleshooting, and improving real-world hardware in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. You will work closely with electrical, software, industrial design, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and compliance teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on mechanical/product development experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, fasteners, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with gaming, casino, consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, or other complex electromechanical products.
• Experience with sheet metal, plastics, castings, extrusions, machining, or injection molding.
• Experience with DFM/DFA, tooling, prototypes, and production ramp-up.
• Experience with UL, environmental, vibration, thermal, or reliability testing.
• SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar CAD experience.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers or overseas suppliers.
