Renewyx, an energy and infrastructure talent partner, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (PE) to lead MEP design on ground-up and retrofit projects in the Kansas City, KS metro area. The role blends design and hands-on implementation with hybrid or remote work options and 10–20% travel.

You will perform load calculations, equipment selection, and value engineering, while supporting decarbonization studies and energy audits that actually get built.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and an active PE license.
• Background designing HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.

Renewyx have partnered with a growing, engineering-led design-build firm delivering net-zero facility upgrades for institutional and public-sector clients to bring on a Mechanical Engineer (PE).

Existing buildings produce 40% of the world's carbon emissions. This firm designs the fix, then builds it. As a true design-build shop, their engineers see their own HVAC designs through to completion instead of handing off and hoping.

Lead MEP design on ground-up and retrofit projects. Run the load calcs, the equipment selection, the value engineering. Support decarbonization studies and energy audits that actually get built.

• A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and an active PE license
• A background designing HVAC and mechanical building systems
• Sharp knowledge of HVAC codes and standards
• PE licensure in KS
• Revit, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam proficiency
• Permanent, full-time, hybrid or remote
• Kansas City, KS metro area, with 10–20% travel
