Job summary

INTUITIVE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a multi-disciplinary team across the program life cycle. Responsibilities include requirements definition, design, analysis, data package development, and manufacturing support for DoD customers.

You will use SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo to substantiate airworthiness and interact with customers on fast-paced projects. The role is in-office, with some travel and the potential to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3-5 years of engineering experience in mechanical/aerospace design and analysis.
• Some travel is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and perform design and analysis for programs across the life cycle.
• Develop technical data packages and support manufacturing, integration and testing.
• Interface with customers on DoD programs and contribute to airworthiness substantiation.
• Provide technical execution support and guide multi-disciplinary teams through design/development processes.
• Apply CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA/Creo) to detail designs and support program strategy.

The daily responsibilities will evolve as the current needs of assigned programs evolve and include requirements definition, design, analysis, technical data package development, manufacturing support, integration, and testing. You will have the opportunity to directly interface with customers on multiple fast paced programs in support of ARMY and other department of defense customers and directly contribute to the success of these programs. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will assist in the technical execution of projects involving multi-disciplinary engineering teams. You will exercise knowledge and experience of advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) programs such as SolidWorks, CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application), or PTC Creo to detail designs and perform required analysis to substantiate the airworthiness of developed solutions. In this role, you will be exposed to the entire design/development process and have the ability to influence program execution strategy.
