Job summary

Wylie Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work under a Senior Engineer on large projects, performing heating/cooling load estimates, HVAC sizing and selection, and modeling systems in Revit.

You will also assist a Project Manager in leading the complete mechanical design for smaller projects, including specifications for engineered systems or products, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered E.I.T. or P.E. in state of Texas preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Candidate should have an active interest in personal growth and development.
• Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills.

Job description

As a Mechanical Engineer you will work with the guidance and supervision of a Senior Engineer on large projects performing tasks such as calculating heating/cooling load estimates, HVAC system sizing and selection, and modeling systems in Revit. Additionally, you will be expected to work under supervision of a Project Manager leading the complete design of mechanical systems on a variety of smaller projects, including specification for engineered systems or products for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience.
