Job summary

Salient Motion, Inc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a mechanical engineer to design production hardware and test equipment, and to perform electromechanical system analysis.

You will work across the organization to define design requirements, select contract manufacturers, and ensure enclosures and PCBs meet performance goals. The role offers relocation flexibility and strong benefits in a fast-growing aerospace/defense-focused company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with the full design cycle from ideation to production.
• Design experience in NX or other CAD package.
• General knowledge of designing for electrical enclosures.
• Knowledge of DFM and GD&T.
