Job summary

Bartech Staffing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of custom automated machinery in Greenville, SC. You will manage projects from concept through build, debugging and on-site commissioning, working independently and as a mentor within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include guiding design across the project lifecycle, performing reviews, and delivering technical solutions to internal and client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or accredited associate with experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• CAD proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, NX or AutoCAD.
• FE exam or EIT certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to mentor others and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 5–10% including overnight/international trips.

Job Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or associate's degree with significant experience (ABET/EAC accredited program)
• 5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Skilled in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)
• Proficient in both standard and advanced mechanical engineering principles and practices
• FE Exam or EIT certification preferred, but not required
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and review work of others
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and oversee complex engineering challenges
• Willingness to support project needs, sometimes requiring travel
