LeoForce in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer to design, analyze, and coordinate mechanical building systems across commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects. The role offers a mix of design work and collaboration with architects and contractors, with a WFH option 1 day per week and strong focus on BIM and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field.
• At least 3 years of mechanical design experience for building systems.
• Experience with HVAC/mechanical systems for various facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM software, and MS Office.
• Familiar with load calculation software and design codes.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new and renovated projects.
• Prepare specs, drawings, and calculations.
• Perform load calculations, ventilation analyses, and equipment sizing.
• Develop BIM/Revit models and coordinated drawings.
• Conduct site visits and assess existing conditions.

Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Engineer

Location: Green Bay, WI, US

Position Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer or Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for the design, analysis, and coordination of mechanical building systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering innovative engineering solutions.

This has an option to WFH 1/week

Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, system layouts, and engineering calculations.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation analysis, equipment sizing, and system selection.
• Develop and maintain BIM/Revit models and coordinated design drawings.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and existing conditions assessments.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical support during construction.
• Assist in cost estimating, value engineering, and project planning activities.
• Research emerging technologies and sustainable design solutions to improve building performance.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, engineering, or building systems design.
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or institutional facilities preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM software, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with load calculation software and mechanical design standards.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, energy codes, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer-in-Training (EIT), or other relevant industry certification.
• Experience with sustainable design principles, LEED projects, or energy‑efficient building systems.
• Previous experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams.
