Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring Mechanical Engineers at our Fargo, ND plant. You’ll own the design and implementation of equipment, optimizing performance and collaborating with various teams to ensure project success. We are hiring Mechanical Engineers for two exciting teams: New Equipment Development, where you’ll focus on designing and building new equipment and systems, and Equipment Improvement, dedicated to enhancing existing equipment through troubleshooting and innovative solutions. Both roles play a crucial part in our plant’s success, offering unique opportunities for growth and meaningful contributions.

This posting includes two distinct roles. Candidates will be considered for one role based on their qualifications and preferences.

Highlights of your role

Shared Responsibilities:

  • Lead equipment and process innovations to boost efficiency and capabilities
  • Ensure project success by meeting scope, timeline, and budget goals
  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, and other departments to deliver impactful solutions
  • Analyze data to identify issues and implement effective improvements

Focus Areas:

New Equipment Development:

  • Design, develop, and integrate custom equipment from concept to production
  • Train teams and document processes for new technologies

Equipment Improvements:

  • Improve existing equipment and facility projects, such as mechanical adjustments and redesign work, with innovative solutions while ensuring safety compliance
  • Test and validate new processes to drive continuous improvement
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Experience in machine design
  • Preferred: Plastics processing experience
Also want to make sure you have
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, required
  • Hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve machinery issues
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills: essential for effective collaboration and responding effectively to changing project needs
