Job Description

Brooks is looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Atmospheric Systems Engineering) as we accelerate our growth journey.

What you'll do:

  • Participate in all aspects of mechanical design and development of new products, owning the full life cycle from concept through production release.
  • Design new products for the semiconductor industry and develop new mechanical features for existing products.
  • Produce and release 3D models, drawings, and BOMs in accordance with Brooks processes.
  • Work cooperatively with electrical and software engineering to ensure new product designs meet market and customer requirements.
  • Understand and communicate the cost impact of new designs.
  • Build prototypes.
  • Support operations, supply chain, field service, and quality organizations to sustain product lines and ensure reliable performance.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automation product development environment, with knowledge of semiconductor equipment.
  • 3D CAD modeling (ProE & Solidworks) and FEA/CFD analysis of mechanical designs.
  • Knowledge of robotic mechanisms, including motors, bearings, sensors, and actuators.
  • Working knowledge of automation controls, robotics, and semiconductor system integration.
  • Understanding of materials and good design practices for selected material choices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to prepare technical reports and presentations and interact with suppliers, supply chain, and operations.
  • Hands‑on skill for assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Ability to estimate tasks for project completion and adhere to schedules.
  • Knowledge of SEMI standards is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/AgileEC is a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $84,178.82 to $113,888.99 USD. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
