ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of technical products and systems.
Supports Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing departments through the initiation and implementation of continuous process improvements.
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Coordinates the implementation of significant process modifications and the use of new raw materials.
Assures all process and/or raw material changes are validated before implementation.
Provides technical support to customers, in customer plants if needed, to troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with products plant wide as well as globally.
Performs engineering design evaluations.
May develop a range of products.
Exhibits a high level of visibility in the manufacturing areas and hands on approach.
Practices good project management and cost control.
Responsible for maintaining Quality Standards and requirements in all aspects and performance of the job function.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Must - a minimum of a BS Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Must - a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience.
Must - ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
Must – knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the industrial manufacturing area.
Must - working knowledge of Excel, Word, SPC, Solidworks or other 3D modeling software.
Must - excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, to effectively interface with all levels of Management, the global Aplix team, Vendors and Associates.
Must – willing and able to travel, when required.
Preferred - experience in current Quality Standard System.
Plus - experience with automation equipment including programmable controllers, web guide, tension control and vision equipment.
