Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract-to-hire role in Bridgewater, NJ. You will maintain engineering knowledge bases, create and evaluate setup documentation, and design equipment utilization plans to balance time, cost, and production constraints.

You will also develop equipment designs and BOMs to support production. The position requires strong project management, analytical and communication skills, experience with IQ/OQ/FAT testing, and collaboration with external vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment design and operation.
• Experience with equipment testing (IQ/OQ/FAT) and process improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working with external vendors and equipment suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engineering knowledge bases including processes, documentation, engineering change orders, BOMs, product tables, and system logs.

• Build and maintain systems that support continuous improvement in batch processing equipment design and utilization.
• Develop policies and procedures outlining responsibilities and recurring tasks within the role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.88/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
