Bock Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test, and improve Turboflue machines, focusing on operation, control systems, and structural components. You will maintain equipment drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Electrical experience preferred.
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, thermal systems, and mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with safety standards (UL, CE) and energy‑efficiency regulations.
  • Hands-on repairs and machining experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with IoT-enabled appliances or smart controls.
  • Background in manufacturing processes and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize electrical and mechanical components for Turboflue machines.
  • Ensure department production requirements are met; and that any backlog is at an acceptable level.
  • Conduct performance, durability, and safety tests on Turboflue equipment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design team, Operations, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless product development and production.
  • Work with 3 rd party vendors to assist with repairs and improvements to machines.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in existing Turboflue machines.
  • Assist in trouble‑shooting and the repairing of other production machines and equipment.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and improving the Turboflue machines, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performance requirements. This role requires expertise in mechanical engineering principles, with a focus on machine operation, control systems, and structural components. They will maintain the integrity of the equipment and associated documentation and drawings. They will set-up, adjust and operate machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on a variety of standardized work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize electrical and mechanical components for the Turboflue machines, including weld heads, wiring, and structural assemblies.
  • Ensure that department production requirements are met; and that any backlog is at an acceptable level.
  • Conduct performance, durability, and safety tests on Turboflue equipment.
