VJ X-Ray LLC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and document x-ray source components in a manufacturing setting. You will create 2D/3D designs in SolidWorks, develop detailed drawings, and maintain change notices and BOMs.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, production and ERP teams, ensuring drawings meet metric standards and safety procedures are followed. A strong mechanical background and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products with a cross-functional team.

Mechanical Engineer

This role is responsible for documenting and supporting research, design, development and diagnosis integrated x-ray sources and high voltage generators within a manufacturing environment.

Job Description:

• Work with cross-functional team to design and develop new products and improve existing designs
• Generate 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks
• Create and properly document detailed drawings complying with metric standards
• Responsible for creating and maintaining Mechanical Engineering Change Notices
• Create and modify concept drawings, detailed design, assembly and fabrication drawings; BOMs and other related design documentation
• Create, maintain and share process documentation in ERP system and SharePoint
• Regular communication with other engineering disciplines, the sales and production teams
• Follow all VJX and OSHA workplace safety requirements and policies
• Safety Sensitive Position

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with manufacturing processes and mechanical design
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a highly organized, self-motivated, team player
• Experience and proficiency with SolidWorks creating 2D and 3D designs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Legally authorized to work in the US and able to successfully pass a complete background check and drug screening

Non-Essential Skills:

• Experience in electro-mechanical design
• Experience working with ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions-GSS ERP)
• Ability to read and speak Mandarin Chinese

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, stoop and stand within an industrial environment

• Will need to repeatedly use hands and fingers to operate basic office equipment and possibly operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment
• Expected to effectively communicate in person, on the phone, via email and on other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis
• Responsibilities will require lifting, moving, staging and placing of materials up to 50 pounds alone and heavier with assistance
• Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner

• May be required to travel, domestically and internationally, by car and by air. Overnight stays may also be required.
