Job description

Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design efforts across various market sectors with a focus on industrial projects such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Data Centers, and other Advanced Manufacturing projects. You may work under the direction of a Senior Engineer as part of a cross-discipline team that includes architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mechanical engineering systems and components such as pumps, coils, heat exchangers, and fans.
  • Heating and cooling loads calculations.
  • HVAC equipment selections.
  • Air and water plant distribution piping and ductwork sizing.
  • Ventilation calculations.
  • Pipe stress analysis calculations.
  • CFD analysis calculations.
  • Perform calculations using software tools such as IES, Pipe-Flo, Rhor2, and 6SigmaRoom. Prior knowledge of the software is a plus but not required.
  • Create drawings and specifications, participate in site walks, code analysis, and project meetings as required.
Capabilities and Credentials
  • Developing knowledge of mechanical systems design.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an engineering consulting firm or similarly related industry.
  • Professional Engineering license required.

Typical office environment: working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
