Job description

Our client is a fast-growing aerospace company rethinking how aircraft are designed, built, and scaled. Their engineers use automation, AI-driven tools, and a connected digital backbone to move from concept to flying hardware faster than the legacy primes can. Small teams, real ownership, and parts you can hold in your hand within weeks rather than years.

What you'll do

You'll design and integrate the mechanical and electromechanical systems behind next-generation aircraft, spanning propulsion, environmental control, positioning, and energy management. You'll own parts and subassemblies from first sketch through validation and production release.

  • Design mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in Siemens NX and release production-ready drawings with correct GD&T
  • Design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost, so what you build can scale to high-rate production
  • Work directly with suppliers and the manufacturing floor on first-article builds and early production runs
  • Run FEA, tolerance stack-ups, and basic thermal and structural analysis
  • Join prototype builds, testing, and root-cause investigations, and turn what you learn into better hardware

What you bring

  • 4+ years developing mechanical products, with hardware that shipped
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (equivalent hands-on experience counts)
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and drawing release practices
  • Familiarity with several manufacturing processes: sheet metal, die casting, precision machining, and injection molding
  • Exposure to inspection, quality fundamentals, and basic SPC
  • A hands-on, finish-what-you-start attitude, and comfort in a lab or on a production floor

Bonus points for: aerospace or aviation experience; fast-paced hardware backgrounds (automotive EV, robotics, consumer hardware); DO-160 familiarity; MATLAB or Python for analysis; electric or hybrid propulsion exposure.

Why this role

  • Ownership early: you'll own real subsystems, not a slice of a slice
  • Short path to flight: design, build, test, and iterate in tight loops
  • Equity in a company at a high-growth stage
  • Growth: fast-scaling programs mean fast-growing scope
  • Benefits: medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
