Harvey Nash Group in Illinois is seeking an Engine Test and Data Analysis Engineer for a hands‑on 24‑month contract in Mossville/Chillicothe. The role focuses on testing large diesel and dual‑fuel engines with direct work in test cells, instrumentation, and data acquisition equipment.

Responsibilities include setting up test equipment, collecting data, troubleshooting issues, and documenting results. MATLAB, CANape, DIAdem, Horiba, AVL, or Allen‑Bradley experience is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of related experience; internships and co‑op experience will be considered.
• Hands‑on mechanical or electrical testing experience.
• Experience with data acquisition equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on test environment.
• Local to Mossville/Chillicothe, IL or within commuting distance.

Engine Test and Data Analysis Engineer | $35/hr W2 | Mossville, IL

We are hiring a Engine Test and Data Analysis Engineer for a 24-month contract opportunity in the Mossville/Chillicothe, IL area.

This is a hands‑on position supporting the testing and development of large diesel and dual‑fuel engines. The engineer will work directly with test cells, engine hardware, instrumentation, and data acquisition equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and monitor engine testing in a test‑cell environment
• Set up mechanical and electrical test equipment
• Troubleshoot engine, instrumentation, and test‑cell issues
• Coordinate with mechanics, facilities, and instrumentation teams
• Collect and analyze test data
• Document hardware issues, test results, and corrective actions
• Participate in daily test‑planning and troubleshooting meetings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–4 years of related experience; relevant internships and co‑op experience will be considered
• Hands‑on mechanical or electrical testing experience
• Experience with data acquisition equipment
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on test environment
• Must be local to or within a reasonable commuting distance of Mossville/Chillicothe, IL

Experience with diesel engines, engine testing, MATLAB, CANape, DIAdem, Horiba, AVL, or Allen‑Bradley equipment is preferred but not required.

Pay Rate: $35/hour on W2

Duration: 24 months
