Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Creo Parametric, Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; eager to learn and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design improvements for underground construction equipment and processes.
• Support safety projects and manufacturing processes as directed.
• Maintain plant layout for machine moves and cost reduction.
• Evaluate manufacturing and material handling processes for new parts.
• Assist in part quoting activities & SAP routings.
• Conduct time studies of part processes.
• Assist in quality engineering with print tolerances & process capability studies.
• Assist in R&D of capital projects & equipment.
• Support Quality, Maintenance and Lean problem solving activities.
• Frequently report verbally and in writing on project status.
• Other duties as assigned
